Program Details

This comprehensive training program is designed to equip and empower aspiring political researchers across a range of disciplines. It focuses on developing participants’ research, analytical and communication skills — enhancing their ability to write effectively, analyze political developments and master key research methodologies. By the end of the program, participants will be able to critically examine contemporary political issues from political, economic, social and security perspectives.
Organizers:
The program is implemented by the Mokha Forum, in partnership with several Yemeni universities and in cooperation with a range of local and international research and educational institutions. This collaboration ensures a training experience that blends academic depth with practical application.

Who Can Apply?
The program is open to Yemeni undergraduate and postgraduate students, graduates, and researchers in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration and related fields. It also welcomes individuals — inside or outside Yemen — who are passionate about political affairs in Yemen and the wider region, regardless of their academic background.
Program’s Structure
Level 1: Foundations and Political Awareness
This introductory level builds a broad base in social sciences and political thought. It explores key political and economic dynamics in the Middle East post-Arab Spring, introduces modern political theories and provides context on Yemen’s political landscape.
Level 2: Research Tools and Methodologies
Participants gain hands-on training in scientific research methods, from research design and data collection to academic writing and publication. The focus is on producing quality, publishable research.
Level 3: Applied Research and Advanced Skills
This final level hones participants’ skills through applied research projects and in-depth training in political discourse, media presence, diplomacy and public communication. Participants will develop the confidence and tools to contribute effectively to public debates and political analysis.

The Political Researcher Diploma will be launching soon, in collaboration with partners across at least four Yemeni governorates.
